What size is this?

Each of the last three nights, I’ve been going to McDonald’s to get an ice cream cone for Honeybun and a chocolate shake for me. At the drive-thru, my exact order was “an ice cream cone and a medium chocolate shake”.

It’s actually become a game because each I get different sizes. I’m not sure if they know what a medium is – 21 oz. or 16 oz.

Apparently tonight the medium is 21 oz.

Mmmmm. Chocolate.

    Two assumptions: Same restaurant and Same order total? I'm so not surprised. Three guesses who my last employer was. This makes me chuckle because their whole operation is supposed to be predicated on exactness and replication, but that's all a facade. Not only do they not know what size medium actually is from store to store or moment to moment, but they don't know how many fries they buy per day or what their true financial position is. And, no, I've never officially asked, "Would you like fries with that?" Next time, get the caramel sundae. Would that I still spent money at that Corporation-that-will-not-be-named, that would be my poison. I do miss their breakfasts. My wasteline doesn't.
